I found it interesting that one soldier said, "Soldiering is 99% boredom and 1% terror." I also was surprised that soldiers gambled. Well, now that I think about it, I would've gambled too if it meant that I may get money to send home.

I read about living camp. One of the facts I learned was that offiers lived in better homes than soliders because soliders hade to live in tents and sleep of mother nature.I also learend that the soilders carried 30 to 20 pounds of gear. Last I learned that the officers had nice fernuter in their houses.

They held the soldier's few possesions.

2) The exchange of money were popular in both armies.
3) Some would sendmoney home to help in the hard times shared by many.
